Posted

The Bay Minette Police Department is appealing to the community for assistance in identifying the individuals responsible for overnight vandalism at Kids Park on McMillan Avenue, which occurred on April 29.

The restroom facility at the park bore the brunt of the damage, with the bulk of the vandalism concentrated in the ladies' restroom. Authorities reported that electric dryers, toilet paper holders and soap dispensers were forcibly removed from the walls and rendered irreparably damaged. Additionally, trash receptacles were emptied and destroyed, while some interior wall panels sustained significant damage, necessitating replacement.

As a result of the extensive vandalism, the restroom facility will be temporarily inaccessible to park visitors while repairs are underway.

Anyone with information pertaining to the incident is urged to contact the Bay Minette Police Department at (251) 580-2559.

The Bay Minette Police Department is actively investigating the matter and seeking assistance from the public in identifying the perpetrators.
