What’s your favorite flavor ice cream?

Chocolate

What’s your biggest accomplishment since you’ve taken office as mayor of Spanish Fort?

There are so many moving parts with the city growing as fast as we have. The process of building the community center is time consuming. It will have a library, senior area and administration area. It’s been my No. 1 project since I’ve taken office.

What movies could you watch over and over and still love?

“It’s a Wonderful Life,” “The Glenn Miller Story”

Have you ever run out of gas? Where?

I did run out of gas one time in Mobile. I was able to coast into a gas station, though.

If you could go to dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? Why?

John F. Kennedy – He was president when this country was changing and facing many challenges. I admire him for his leadership.

What was the last gift you gave someone?

For Mother’s Day, I detailed my wife's car personally. I also gave her a watch.

Have you met anyone famous? Who?

I met Nick Saban last year at a high school event.

What do you consider the most important appliance in your home?

The grill – I know it’s not really an appliance, but it’s what I like to do.

Do you have a bucket list? What are some things on it?

No, I just do things as I get to them.

Where did you grow up/go to high school?

I grew up in Mobile and attended Murphy High School. I moved to Spanish Fort in 1985.

Bonus Question: What is one question I didn’t ask you that you wished I would have asked you?

What roles do family values play in building a community?

Family is the most important thing along with personal beliefs in God.
