What’s your favorite flavor ice cream?
Vanilla with chocolate chips
What’s your biggest accomplishment since you’ve taken office as mayor of Bay Minette?
We’ve refinanced some bonds, giving the city of Bay Minette $1 million in capital funds. We’ve gotten a lot of mileage out of the additional money with community improvements.
What movies could you watch over and over and still love?
Gone with the Wind, Patton, High Noon
Have you ever run out of gas? Where?
Yes, in town about three or four years ago on 12th Street.
If you could go to dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? Why?
Robert E. Lee. He was a gentleman and a servant of his community. He was one of the most brilliant tacticians of all time.
What was the last gift you gave someone?
I gave my wife a necklace for Christmas.
Have you met anyone famous? Who?
I played little league with Reggie Jackson. From a young age, he was a natural athlete and very determined. He could play any sport. I’ve also met John Wooden, the former basketball coach at UCLA.
What do you consider the most important appliance in your home?
The microwave or coffee maker
Do you have a bucket list? What are some things on it?
I don’t have a bucket list.
Where did you grow up/go to high school?
I lived in Philadelphia until I was 13, moved and went to high school in Sandy Springs, Georgia. I graduated from Auburn University and Emory University School of Law.

What do you enjoy the most?
My family; I enjoy spending time with my wife, three children and nine grandchildren that all live in Bay Minette.
