The event is open to all Baldwin County citizens at no charge. Breakfast is provided at no cost and is catered by Street’s Restaurant.

In addition to the breakfast, the Baldwin County Commission has proclaimed November 24, 2015 as “Day of Thanks” in Baldwin County.  The Day of Thanks is a celebration "to acknowledge and reflect upon the great achievements, blessings and growing prosperity of Baldwin County, Alabama."

Mr. Eddie Tyler, Superintendent of Baldwin County Public Schools, will be the keynote speaker for the breakfast. Mr. Tyler recently returned to Baldwin County after having served as Superintendent of the Eufaula City School System since February of 2012.

Mr. Tyler started his career in education nearly 40 years ago in Monroeville, Alabama. He later taught in Mobile, Alabama, and then in the Baldwin County School System where he remained for 25 years before moving to Eufala. In his tenure as an educator, Mr. Tyler has served as a teacher, bus driver, assistant coach, athletic director and head coach of football, baseball, soccer, tennis and track. Mr. Tyler has also served as an assistant principal for seven years, a high school principal for five and lastly, for four years prior to Eufaula, as Assistant Superintendent of the Baldwin County School System.

We hope you will join Baldwin County United and the Baldwin County Commission as we welcome Eddie Tyler home to Baldwin County as he shares with the community all of the great things Baldwin County Public Schools have to offer and a glimpse of the future he envisions.
