GULF SHORES, Ala. — Seniors looking for sports competition are offered the opportunity to participate in the 2009 Senior Sports Challenge. Sign up continues at the Bodenhamer Center through Feb. 13. The individual and team competitions begin Feb. 16 at the Bodenhamer Center. An events schedule is available at registration. Participants must be 55 years or older to register.

Each event registration fee is $2. Events include: wallyball, volleyball, weightlifting, ping pong, 8-ball, horseshoes, 3-mile walk/run, racquetball, swim competition, shuffleboard and basketball.

Presentation awards take place at the Pot Luck lunch scheduled for Feb. 27 at the Harry Roberts Community Center. Information may be obtained by calling Brigette Reynolds at 968-1424.
