JOHN UNDERWOOD/Staff Photos ROBERTSDALE, Alabama --- The Golden Bear varsity football team took to the field as the Brian Campbell era at Robertsdale High School officially began with fall practice kicking off Monday. The Golden Bears will have 20 days of official practice before their first contest of the season Aug. 31 on the road against Mary G. Montgomery in Semmes. But first, the Golden Bears will host Satsuma in preseason action Aug. 24 beginning at 7 p.m. at J.D. Sellars Stadium. The first official home game will be Sept. 21 against new 6A Region 2 rival Dothan.
