22nd Lost Bay Regatta Saturday

FAIRHOPE, Ala. — The Point Yacht Club announces its 22nd Annual lost Bay Regatta, a sanctioned Gulf Yachting Association (GYA) sailboat race on Perdido Bay, Saturday, Oct. 10.

The event is the second largest sailing regatta and one of the premier races on the Gulf Coast., attracting more than 200 boaters and visitors from Panama City to New Orleans.

The headquarters for the race will be at the Point Yacht Club Pavilion at Pirates Cove in Josephine Alabama. Events surrounding the Regatta begin on Friday, Oct. 9 and continue through Sunday morning, Oct. 11.

The race is open to mono-hull sailboats 20 feet or greater in length overall with a valid GYA-PHRF rating. The race will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, including US Sailing, Gulf Yachting Association and PHRF, by the Notice of Regatta and by the Sailing Instructions. On site registration will be noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9 at the Point Yacht Club Pavilion. Absolutely no registrations will be accepted after that time.
