3 injured in Bay Minette shooting

BAY MINETTE, Ala. — Bay Minette police are continuing to investigate a shooting Wednesday afternoon near Hickory and Moran streets which left three with gunshot wounds, according to a statement released by Chief Michael Rowland.

At about 4 p.m., authorities found a large group of people in the street and discovered two males had been shot. They were taken to North Baldwin Infirmary with non-life threatening injuries.

A female was shot in the thigh and transported by helicopter to the University of South Alabama Medical Center.

Officers took three suspects into custody and recovered a gun and drugs from a home at 304 Hickory St., the release stated.

Authorities believe the shooting is drug related.
