DAPHNE — The Eastern Shore Women’s Conference 2007 is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 3, from 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Eastern Shore Baptist Church, 6847 Park Drive. The theme for this year’s event is “Finding Hope Under God’s Grace.”

The conference will feature inspirational speaker and singer, Tammy Trent, in concert. Trent will also share her story of despair and unexpected grace. In September 2001, she lost her husband in a diving accident.

Trent is a humorous Christian musician. Her three nationally released CDs have garnered three No. 1, as well as several top 10, hits on Christian music charts. In addition to writing songs, Trent has published two books: “Beyond Sorrow” and a bestseller, “Learning to Breathe Again.” For more information about Trent, visit www.tammytrent.com.

Other conference speakers include:

*Linda Johnson, a motivational conference speaker, teacher and encourager for women. She is church administrator for Mount Hebron Church Ministries in Mobile, where she works and teaches alongside her husband, the Rev. Joe Johnson.

*Brenda Davis has taught Sunday School and Bible studies for over 20 years and currently serves as the director of Faith Development and a member of the counseling staff at Christ United Methodist Church in Mobile. Prior to accepting this position, Davis served as the church’s college minister.

*Lois McNair ministers to women through worship, speaking and teaching. She currently teaches music and languages at Grace Christian Academy in Gulf Shores and ministers with her husband Bobby McNair at the First Baptist Church of Gulf Shores.

Tickets for the event are $25 and include conference materials and a box lunch.
