Stan and Diane Aaron of Bay Minette announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura L. Aaron of Troy, to William Raymond Mixon III, the son of Bill and Dianna Mixon of Auburn.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Clyde and Anna Laura Turberville, the late Buford Aaron and Louise Hall.
She is a 2001 graduate of Baldwin County High School and a 2006 graduate of Troy University.
She taught choir, speech and drama at Baldwin County High School from 2006 to 2008 and served as music leader/choir director at Troy First United Methodist Church and is a Troy University graduate teaching assistant for vocal/choral in the Music Department.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Ollie Gray and Peggy Lucky of Greenville, Bill and Barbara Mixon of Auburn.
He is a 2004 graduate of Auburn High School and a 2008 graduate of Louisiana State University.
He is the band director at Ider High School.
The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m. May 22, 2010 at Auburn United Methodist Church. A reception will follow at Fountainview Mansion in Auburn.
