DAPHNE — The United States Sports Academy and Worldteam have entered into a marketing agreement under which Worldteam will post the academy’s online publication, “The Sport Journal,” in Chinese.

In June, the academy signed a protocol for cooperation with Worldteam, a sports management company that has organized a wide range of sport services from sporting goods to amateur basketball in China.

Thomas P. Rosandich, academy president and CEO, met with Worldteam President Jack Guo in Beijing to integrate the international resources of the academy and Worldteam to promote the development of sport education, academic research and sport services in China.

Guo, a former marketing leader for Red Bull Energy Drink, developed Worldteam from a three-on-three street basketball league. Worldteam features 150,000 players competing on 10,000 teams that play more than 100,000 games in 188 cities each year. Worldteam has expanded its capabilities to deliver goods and services to over 800,000 members throughout China.

Since its inception, the academy has delivered its academic programs in more than 60 countries around the world.

“The Sport Journal” is designed to further the knowledge of sport by allowing professionals in the field to publish articles from a variety of sport-related areas of research.
