LOXLEY, Ala. — Traffic on Interstate 10 westbound came to a stop around 3:20 p.m. Saturday near the Highway 59-Loxley exit.

The multi-car pileup began when Astrid Collins, 26, of Pensacola rear-ended a stopped tractor-trailer. Collins was driving a Mitsubishi.

According to the state police, “Collins was then rear-ended by a Chevy Tahoe driven by Timothy Haney, 43, of Saraland. Collins exited her vehicle to check the damage and was struck by a 1998 Ford Mustang driven by Krystie Smith, 23, of Pensacola. The Mustang then collided with a 2002 Honda driven by Kristine Johnfore, 39, of Pensacola.”

Collins was the only person injured in the accident. She was life-flighted to a Pensacola hospital and is said to have been released.
