Ada Cecile Windbigler Subel, a native of Summerdale, died Thursday, March 3, 2011 at her home with her family by her side.
She was a member of Greenwood Bible Deliverance Church where she was the pianist for 28 years. Her final days were lived out surrounded by her children, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Subel; her parents, Ada Finklea Windbigler and Cecil Windbigler; a brother, Morris Windbigler; two sisters, Lillian Tyler and Margie Burns; and a daughter, Jackie Davis.
Survivors include six children, Chuck (Susie) Subel, Joey Subel and Vickie (Mike) Whittenton, all of Summerdale, Muriel (Jimmy) Porter and Ann (Russell) Alday of Robertsdale, and Rick Subel of Atlanta; 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 5 at Greenwood Bible Deliverance Church in Summerdale. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 6 at the church. Graveside services will follow at Wynn Cemetery in Summerdale.
