Ada Y. Powell, 92 of Screven, Ga. died Thursday, June 07, 2012 after an extended illness.
The Arkansas native was an airplane mechanic at Brookley Field. She loved to garden, and raise milk goats and Ancona chickens. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Powell and her son, Jessie Tomlinson. Survivors are 2 daughters, Peggy Dickman of Ohio, Dorothy Payton of Screven, Ga.; grandchildren, Tina and Danny Stone of Bristol, Ga., J.R. Hartley of Thomasville, Ala., Brett Tomlinson of Mobile, Ala., Jeff and Anita Baumer of Ohio. Graveside funeral services will be 10 A.M. Monday, June 11, 2012 at Silverhill Cemetery.
