William Adams, 87, a native of Uriah and a resident of Bay Minette, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009 at Thomas Hospital.
He was a retired foreman at Brown Wood Preserving. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Perkins Adams of Bay Minette; six children, Mary (Raymond) Whatley, Helen (Henry) Stabler and Linda (Frazier) Martin, all of Bay Minette, Angela (Sam) Lackey of Cumming, Ga., Randy Adams of Chickasaw and Ricky (Marsha) Adams of Picayune, Miss.; brother, Hubert Adams of Bay Minette; four sisters, Jeanette Kirksey, Bertha Ann Booner and Frances Hill, all of Pensacola, Fla., and Marie Smith of Monroeville; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 27 at Vision Ministries Church of God with the Rev. Alan Blackmon officiating. Burial followed at Bay Minette Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were, Elee Stanford, Sonny Martin, Ray Whatley, Thomas Harris, Joshua Stewart and Lee Bentley.
