Jesse Woodrow “Woody” Adams, 81, a native of Arcola, Ill., and a resident of Robertsdale, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009.
He was in the Merchant Marines during World War II and retired from the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant after 22 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Smith Adams of Robertsdale; daughter, Christina Adams Reese of Robertsdale; two sons, Jesse B. Adams of Robertsdale and Daniel H. “Danny” Adams of Eau Claire, Wis.; four sisters, Dalora Woodfall of Charleston, Ill., Fannie Mae Abney of Danville, Ill., Lois Reeves of Tuscola, Ill., and Mary Burris of Kalamazoo, Mich.; brother, Gordon Adams of Tuscola, Ill.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, Robertsdale.
