Adwiti Haffner offers life coaching

Adwiti Haffner, owner and operator of Alive with Adwiti, a life coaching company based in Foley came to this area from the other side of the world and she brought a unique outlook on life she hopes to share with as many people in this area as she can.

Haffner was born and raised in the foothills of the Himalayas in Darjeeling, India, where she was introduced to a variety of thought processes and belief systems. From a very young age she was familiar with Buddhist, Hindu and Catholic belief systems. Through her diverse exposure, Haffner used everything she learned to build her philosophy on life, which later became her career. Her training began in India but she has continued learning and building throughout her adult life.

“I learned first the ancient meditative principles. Then I went to Malaysia and I spent six months in a meditation center just really studying about the deep power of the mind,” she said.

Haffner continued her education in Hong Kong and Nepal.

“I gathered all that information of ancient healing techniques and things like that and then I came to the U.S.,” she said.

She said she began putting everything together in a way she could use to help others find their own greatness in part to techniques she learned when she studied in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

“While in New Mexico I studied coaching and creative visualization, neuro-linguistic programming. So, here I am,” she said. She eventually became a life strategies coach and moved to South Baldwin County.

Haffner fell in love with the Gulf Coast when she first visited because of the contrast to the glitzy, fast-paced life she had lived in Hong Kong.

“I lived in Hong Kong as well, Hong Kong was very busy, it was very fast, it was glitzy and glamourous. I had great fun, but out here I find it a little more laid back, a little more comfortable than just chasing the rat race, which I did. Not it is not a rat race, it is just a really comfortable pace and I can actually really hone my skills,” she said.

Haffner offers a variety of services at her office in Foley, which is located in the Starkey Self Storage building on U.S. 59 South. The services she offers are centered around coaching individuals so they can learn how to better understand themselves and help themselves with problems they may have.

Haffner is confident what she offers is relatively unique to this area because of the conglomeration of skills she brings to the table.

“I have traveled the world with my understanding and knowledge. I think you wouldn’t find somebody like me here. I think that would definitely be a uniqueness there. This is my passion. I have the passion. I have the desire, the deep desire, to help people see that they can reach their zenith, they can reach their greatness. It is all within them,” she said.

She also said she does not know what the future holds for her, but she will stay in this area and offer her services to anyone she can help until fate presents her with a new place to share her knowledge.

“Love and life have brought me here,” she said. “I am international. I am an international woman. So I come from a place literally on the other side of the world. So, what I have and what others can receive from my services is not something that should have any limitations. If I am meant to take this message to any town, city, state or country then that is what my destiny is. Life is everchanging. Destiny or whatever it is, is not something where you can tell what will happen in the future. I am a very infinitely flexible (person), so I am ready for the changes, I love changes if it comes. I have unbounded freedom, no matter what life brings at you you have the flexibility to change with life. Live with it. Flow with it. Enjoy it.”

Despite the unique services she offers, which many in this area were not familiar with before she arrived, she said she could not have asked for more support or a more accepting community.

“I have been received so wholeheartedly and happily by people here that I am pleasantly surprised and it is beyond my expectations. It was very amazing. From the first time I came here this area basically, I found that this area was just really wonderful people. People are just wonderful here. Progressively, it has got better. I am just a happy camper. I love the people here and I think they love me too,” she said.

“What I do is I combine coaching with ancient meditative practice and principles and I work with the client. Consciously at first, exploring their fundamental belief system. So you consciously go, and then you delve deeper into their subconscious mind and examine their belief system that has been running or actually ruining their lives. So after uncovering the core issue or issues I will help them implement the critical changes with a step-by-step program,” she said.

Haffner uses techniques she has picked up and mastered through her travels around the world including many “eastern” practices, like meditation.

“To change their behavior with guided meditation, mindful meditation and various other techniques and tools to really break through those self sabotaging behaviors to achieve the success they desire,” she said.

Haffner also facilitates workshops and is a motivational speaker, as well as facilitating groups to achieve similar results as she reaches with her clients she sees one on one. In most cases she has found the group dynamic actually achieves better results than one on one sessions.

“I feel like in a group people’s walls are actually lesser than when they are doing one on ones and then the group dynamic is like all of us are in this together so the group energy is just amazing. So I love to do that. That is what I do,” she said.

Coaching is the main facet of Haffner’s services and she is able to help with a variety of problems.

“It is all levels of coaching. Problems as such, it is like, weight release. That is one of main things that I have been working on right now and they have had amazing success. But, my specialty I would say is emotional clearing and also goal setting, motivation and inspiration to find in themselves. Not that I can do that, it is to help them and assist them in finding the motivation and inspiration within themselves,” she said.

She does not see herself as a motivator, she considers herself to be more of a facilitator to help people find the motivation that already exists within them.

She believes anything can be accomplished, but a transformation usually has to be made before progress is possible. Behaviors, according to Haffner, have to be changed before change can happen.

“I also do core transformation, changing the actual core of your behavior. Behavior is habit and all of us are habituated in our lives, you know? And everything, a bad or a good habit is always a habit. If you want to change you r results then you have to actually go within your behavior to change the results because if you keep doing whatever you are doing the result will always be the same,” she said.

Haffner helps her clients deal with a variety of problems because she says most of the problems people face are in some way connected to the mind. She used the example of weight loss, because she said weight loss should be as simple as eat less, exercise more and you will lose weight, but so many people struggle with it. She has helped many of her clients achieve their weight loss goals through coaching and meditation techniques. Haffner will be starting a new weight loss program, which she is calling “Making Alabama Lighter” in the near future. The program will be an eight-week program.

“Basically, what I will be doing is in every session that we do we will be delving into your subconscious mind and each one will be breaking barriers of self-sabotage. Weight, a lot of people think it is just food but it is not. It is linked to the emotions. Food and emotions are so linked together. Everybody knows how to lose weight. You eat less and you burn more calories, it is simple, right? But why don’t they do that? That is what we find out in this seminar, why,” she said.

problem she is helping her clients deal with, Haffner said her favorite part of what she does is when she sees the light go off for her client when they have reached success.

“My favorite part of what I do, when I see my client reaching that level of success and success means not just success but really being able to tap into their own resource and found the inspiration within themselves and is now living a new level of life I can see that and the smile in their faces and the happiness they feel. When I see that, in any form, weight loss, or goal setting. When they can tap into that and really connect to themselves within and really live this life to the fulfillment and happiness that they feel I have an extra big smile on my face and my heart warms up. That is my favorite part,” she said.

Haffner has plans to lead a seminar in Gulf Shores on Feb.  12 and also plans to release motivational and meditation CDs on her website next month. Anyone wishing to contact Haffner to set up a session or to learn more about the services she offers can visit her web site www.alivewithadwiti.com or give her a call at 251-609-1251.

“My desire, my passion, my real deep deep deep desire and passion to really help and assist people in finding their passion because if you are not passionate in life then the juice of life is gone. You have got to find that juice in life, to find that level of happiness, of living, that you can really do. To help people find that is one of my passions. I have always been that way, all of my life. That is what brought me to this career. I wake up in the morning, jumping out of bed and saying, ‘Okay, world, what do I have next,’” she said.
