SILVERHILL — The “Ambassadors Music Ministry Team” from the Association Free Lutheran Bible School in Minneapolis will present an inspirational morning concert at Zion Lutheran Church in Silverhill on Saturday, June 28, at 10:30 a.m.

Zion’s friends and neighbors in Baldwin County are cordially invited to this Christian music program featuring traditional and contemporary music and testimony. The concert is free but a love offering will be taken.

The Association Free Lutheran Bible School, “AFLBS” for short, is a two-year, college-level school of the Bible, which enrolled 130 students this past year.  Founded in 1967, AFLBS takes college students through the books of the Bible and trains them in ministry-related courses.  The AFLBS campus is in suburban Plymouth, Minn., about 20 minutes west of downtown Minneapolis.  Typically, AFLBS credits transfer to Christian and public colleges and universities.

The 2008 Ambassador team visiting Zion features Andrew Abel from Campo Largo, Brazil; Mirian Alanen from Cloquet, Minn.; Elizabeth Berge from Fargo, N.D.; Emily Nelson from Bloomington, Minn.; and Jordan Rumohr of Champion, Mich. They are traveling for 10 weeks this summer throughout the United States for a total of 13,000 miles, visiting more than 40 churches and camps from coast to coast.

Curious about Bible School? Want a free concert? Thinking of trying a visit to an AFLC church, the fourth largest Lutheran denomination in the United States?  This is a great opportunity to take in a great concert and get to know Zion. Silverhill’s Zion Lutheran Church is located a block off State Highway 104 at 15875 4th Ave. at 7th St. in Silverhill.
