AG King to have town meeting about oil spill claims Saturday

(MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Attorney General Troy King will meet with Southwest Alabama citizens in a town hall meeting Saturday morning in Gulf Shores to provide information and assistance about making claims for financial losses from the BP oil spill. The meeting will be webcast live for concerned and interested citizens outside Alabama’s Gulf Coast area.

The event will take place at 9 a.m., Saturday, May 15, at the Erie Meyer Civic Center, 1930 West 2nd Street. For those unable to attend in person, the town hall meeting can be viewed over the internet athttp://www.ustream.tv/channel/alabama-attorney-general. The meeting will be archived and available for later viewing at this same link.

Attorney General King urges Alabamians, “If you’re suffering any kind of financial loss due to the oil spill, or if you are facing that probability, join me at our Gulf Shores town hall meeting for information that could be very helpful to you. Some financial assistance processes are in place right now, and others are being developed on a daily basis. We will explain what help is currently available and how to get it. I also look forward to your questions and suggestions.”
