James Patrick Aitken, a native of New Orleans, and a resident of Foley, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at a local hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents James O. Aitkin and Irma Battle Aitken, and a brother Gerard Aitken.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Carol Aitken; a sister, Mary Aitken (Del) Britsch of Harahan, La.; three nephews, four nieces, other relatives and friends.
A memorial Mass and visitation was celebrated Thursday, June 25 at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, Foley.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church Building Fund, 601 W. Laurel Ave., Foley, AL 36535, or The Haven Animal Rescue, 559 Section St., Fairhope, AL 36532.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe Bayview Funeral Homes and Crematory Inc., Fairhope.
