The Alabama Sculpture Invitational 2007 will be on display through the end of the month at the Eastern Shore Art Center, 401 Oak Ave. in Fairhope.
An opening reception will be held at First Friday ArtWalk Aug. 3, from 6-8 p.m. Wine, beer, and hor d’oeuvres will be served, along with live music.
Admission is free for members and $2 for non-members.
The sculptures will be on display in all galleries.
Casey Downing, nationally known sculptor from Mobile, has curated the Alabama Sculpture Invitational.
Included in the exhibit are 42 sculptors currently working and living in Alabama. Sculptures will be in a variety of media, including bronze, wood, plaster and glass.
Participants include James Alexander, Jeremy Baker, Barry Booth, Barbara Casey, Jeremy Colbert, William Colburn, Jim Conlon, Everett Cox, Glenn Dasher, Casey Downing, Clair Evangelista, Frank Fleming, Randy Gachet, Larry Godwin, Ronald Godwin, Angelo Granata, Sarah Heath, America Jones, Jude Johnston, Janice Kluge, Bruce Larsen, Elizabeth Rowe Lochamy, Charlie Lucas, Fred Marchman, David McCann, Bertice McPherson, Branko Medenica, Ted Metz, Scott Meyer, Brad Morton, Fran Neumann, Arthur Oakes, Clifton Pearson, Cordray Parker, John Smith, Stephen Spears, Robert Tucker, Linda Walden, Julie Ward, Craig Wedderspoon and Rachel Wright.
