Albert Leon Murrell and Mary Lucinda Murrell

Albert Leon Murrell, born Jan. 29 1926 (age 90), went to his eternal home on Aug. 2, 2016.

Mary Lucinda Murrell, born July 10 1927 (age 89), followed her husband to eternity on Nov. 23 2016.

Both passed in their home in Waukegan, Illinois. The Murrells were married 68 years, and were residents of Foley for 51 years.

Al was a WWII veteran who served his country in the Army Air Corps, and was a longtime member of the American Legion.

Al made his living in the advertising department for a liquor wholesale business in Pensacola, Florida for 20-some years, and was very active in his church in Foley at St. Paul's Episcopal.

Mary Lou was a porcelain artist well known for her handmade flowers, wildlife, dolls and especially her Christmas ornaments.

Was a founding member of The Performing Art Association for many years and also very active in her church in Foley at St. Paul's Episcopal.

Al and Mary Lou had one daughter precede them in death, Mary Beth Koenig in 2007.

The Murrells are survived by two daughters, Kathy Revenaugh of Green Oaks, Illinois and Ludy Macier of Waukegan, Illinois. There are nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life for Al and Marylou Murrell will be held on April 15, 2017 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 506 N. Pine St., Foley, AL at 12 p.m.

Burial following service at Pine Rest Memorial Park, 16541 U.S. 98, Foley, AL.

We are not sad. We are happy they are without pain. We are happy they are with their heavenly family. We will see them again. We love you, mom and dad.
