Albin Anthony Galich Jr., 73, a resident of Daphne and native of Pueblo, Colo., passed away at home on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and self-employed as a residential and commercial contractor until he retired.
Albin was a great singer and was a vocalist in Motown’s first white vocal group, The Rustix. He even acted in two local movies, “Back Roads” in 1981 and “Under Siege” in 1992.
He loved his family and his “furry kids,” Sid and Molly.
Albin brought smiles to everyone he met, and “we will miss your beautiful voice!”
He is survived by his loving wife, Gail N. Galich of Daphne; his son, Kevin (Wendy) Galich of Fairhope; and his daughter, Kimberly (Tommy) Rachel of Magnolia Springs; his three grandchildren, Seth, Peyton, Blake and his wife, Maggie; and his only great-grandchild, Caitlin.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Spanish Fort United Methodist Church.
