Aldrich Jay Boss, 75, a native of Jacksonville, Fla., and resident of Fairhope, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010.

He was a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in industrial engineering and worked for 34 years as a system programmer for Ethyl Corp. in Baton Rouge, La., and Richmond, Va. He was also a Ham Radio Operator for 40 years.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Boss of Fairhope; daughters, Stacey (Ron) Pepper and Amy Bowen of Sacramento, Calif.; step daughters, Gail (Lindsey) Cooper of Mandeville, La., and Christine (Michael) Denniston of Birmingham; grandchildren, Jeffrey McVarish, Scott Pepper, Alina Bowen of Sacramento, Calif., Natalie, Daniel, Jonathan, Lindsey Cooper of Madeville, La., Robert and William Denniston of Birmingham; brothers, Michael (Nancy) Boss of Jacksonville, Fla., and William (Inge) Boss of Chicago.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21 at St. James Episcopal Church, Fairhope. Visitation will follow at the Parish Hall.

The family requests memorial donations be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 860 N. Section St., Fairhope, AL 36532, or to the charity of your choice.
