James Searcy Aldridge, 75, a native of Fayette and a resident of Stapleton, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at his residence in Stapleton.

He was a courier for an office supply company.

Survivors include his wife, Etta Mae Hadley Aldridge of Stapleton; three children, James E. Aldridge of Tuscaloosa, Ricky D. (Nerissa) Aldridge of Stapleton and Susie (Richard) Fountain of Fredricksburg, Va.; brothers, Wayne (Jean) Aldridge of Calhoun, Ga., Lee Earl (Linda) Aldridge of Moundville, Jack (Mary) Walser of Birmingham, Robert (Angela) Walser of Athens, Ga., Larry Walser of McIntosh and Ernis (Marilyn) Walser of Hammond, La.; two sisters, Mavline (Roy) Duncan and Geraldine (Oscar) Seals, both of Poplarville, Miss., Mary Elizabeth (Paul) Shaw of Montgomery and Dorothy Medley of Fort Worth, Texas; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 25 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Caldwell officiating. Burial followed at Mr. Zion Cemetery in Stapleton.
