Alfred Carl Riebe, 86, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 23, 2014 at his home, with his family by his side.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He enjoyed farming and his family. He was of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Riebe; his brother, Frank Riebe; and his parents, Alfred and Emilie Riebe.
He is survived by his four children, Holly Kinsey and husband Dennis, Paul Riebe and wife Dorothy, Cheryl Pilgrim and husband Robbie, and Victor Riebe, all of Elberta; a brother, Robert Riebe of Gulf Shores; a sister, Emilie Grabowski of Atlanta; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of other close relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at 2 p.m., with Deacon Susan Mckee officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral.
Interment will follow in Elberta Public Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Staimpel, Heath Staimpel, Gerald Staimpel, Jonathan Riebe, Jason Alms and Robert Freitag.
Following the interment, a celebration of life dinner will be held at the residence of his son, Paul Riebe.
