Alice Faye (Johnson) Phillips, 69, born in Bay Minette and a resident of the White House Fork community, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011.

She was a cook (retired) at Blue Gill Restaurant.

She is survived by five daughters, Beverly (Doug) Armentrout of Saraland, Tammy (Carl) Duffee and Minnie Phillips, both of White House Fork, Julie (Chris) Schofield of Greenville, Ala. and Ashley Phillips of Georgiana, Ala.; three sisters, Ann Philyaw of White House Fork, Jean Cooper of Bay Minette and Denise Emmons of White House Fork; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. “Billy” Phillips; her son, Jeffery Hadley; and her brother, Buddy Johnson.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at 2 p.m., at White House Fork Pentecostal Holiness Church, with Sister Helen Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, from 5:30 p.m. until service time at White House Fork Pentecostal Holiness Church.
