Alice Grass Calloway, 90, a lifelong resident of Point Clear, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014.
Alice was one of the very first volunteers at Thomas Hospital’s Ladies Auxiliary, where she served for more than 50 years. She was a past state president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah “Boots” Calloway; and son, Norris B. Calloway.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Delores Calloway of Point Clear; brother, Buddy Grass of Pass Christian, Miss.; four grandchildren, Alicia, Daphne and Arlene Jennings, and Britton Calloway; and two great-grandsons, Kendall Jennings and Kingston Danne.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, at 2 p.m., in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
