Alice M. Krupa

Alice M. Krupa, 80 of Brighton, Mich. and formerly of Fairhope, passed away Jan. 25, 2014 at the Arbor Hospice Residence in Ann Arbor.

She was born June 14, 1933 in New Hudson, a daughter of Thomas E. and Genevieve (Mahoney) Kelly.

On Feb. 14, 1953 she was married to Philip Krupa in Brighton. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2012.

Alice was a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Brighton.

She worked as an administrative assistant for the Brighton Area Schools, and then went on to work for the School of Business for the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, a position she was very proud to have held.

Following her retirement, Alice and her husband opened The Cottage Bed and Breakfast in Suttons Bay, Mich. In addition, Alice was a very avid gardener, artist and animal lover.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Ruth E. Bell) Krupa, Kellie (Desmond Mitchell) Pulido, Nancy Krupa and David Krupa; grandchildren, Jodi Pulido, Matthew Pulido, John Ross, Andrew Krupa, Emily Krupa and Daniel McClure; a great-grandson, Tyrus Roose; sisters, Janice Antieau and Virginia Stevenson; a brother, Mike Kelly; her loving companion, Lloyd Antieau; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Jan. 28, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Brighton, with the Rev. Fr. James Mangan as celebrant. Visitation will be held at church beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Brighton.
