In her chairman’s letter printed in the program for Saturday’s pageant, Christie Lyles thanked the sponsors, volunteers and the Town of Silverhill for making the event happen.

“But most of all, I would like to thank the girls who are participating in Little Miss Heritage and the families who have supported them,” she said. “This pageant was started to provide the girls in our community with an event that could be enjoyed by not only the girls, but the entire family. We sincerely hope that this goal was accomplished for each of the families that were involved this year, and we hope that those who we were blessed enough to have in our inaugural pageant had as much fun participating as we did putting the pageant together.”

Laurie Gruenloh served as master of ceremonies for the event.

The pageant also included a performance by Slippers and Taps School of Dance in Robertsdale.

Sponsors for the event were Silverhill Elementary, the Town of Silverhill, Amy Macon and Patricia Bankester, Baldwin Trophy, Vision Bank, Bestsouth, Jared N.
