Alney (Al) C. McLean, a native of the Mississippi Delta and former Jackson, Miss. resident, was born Aug. 29, 1925 and passed away on March 27, 2013.
He was the son of Alney C. and Vivian Garrett McLean of Tunica, Miss.; grandson of Judge and Mrs. William Campbell McLean of Grenada, Miss.
He was a member of Grace Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Gulf Shores, and was a talented artist and enjoyed making furniture, stained glass and painting.
Mr. McLean was preceded in death by his grandson, Justin Garrett McLean; and is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Helen McLean; son, Trey McLean (Phyllis); four daughters, Cappie McLean, Molly McLean Rushing (Daniel), Julie McLean Nester (Willie) all of the Jackson, Miss. area and Bett McLean (Doug Renfro) of Knoxville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, March 29, from 10 until 11 a.m. followed by a Memorial Celebration at Grace Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Gulf Shores. Burial will be held at Pine Rest Memorial Park in Foley at 2 p.m.
