SPANISH FORT, Ala.—Area parents are asked to make “an investment in their families” Wednesday by attending a seminar featuring “Connected Parenting” author Jennifer Kolari.
The Baldwin County Board of Education is hosting the free workshop from 10 a.m. until noon at 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center for parents who are unable to attend evening meetings being held across the county this week.
Kolari, who is a registered social worker and family therapist with more than 20 years’ experience, will highlight strategies to help parents set limits, shift negative behaviors and avoid “ugly power struggles.”
Spanish Fort parent Emily Moon said she is hopeful Kolari’s address will augment what the mother of two already gleaned from “Connected Parenting: Transform Your Challenging Child and Build Loving Bonds for Life.”
“The strategies outlined in her book have helped me a lot, so I’m really excited to see if there are any new techniques or tips she’s planning to share,” Moon said.
