Alva Long Hayes, 86, of Foley, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010 in Foley.
She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Long and Sadie Busby Long.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon (Dennis) Corcoran of St. Louis; two sons, Lenny (Madye) Hayes of Decatur and Perry (Cindy) Hayes of Atlanta; daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Hayes of BonSecour; three brothers, Valton Long of Foley, Varon Long of Mobile, and A.D. “Cotton” Long of Elberta; seven grandchildren and three great-grandsons.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8 at Pine Rest Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park in Foley.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Friendship Baptist Chuch P.O. Box 65 Bon Secour, AL 36511.
