FAIRHOPE, Ala. — This Friday at American Legion Post 199, 700 S. Mobile St. in Fairhope, Chef Laban will be serving, from 6-9 p.m., an authentic south Louisiana special supper.

Also, Charles Davis and the Leavin’ Brothers will host the Legion’s Open Guitar Jam from 7 p.m. until. There will be great music and fun.

The jams have been grand showcases for many accomplished (as well as novice) musicians and singers, and a source of fine entertainment for patrons.

Here is the upcoming schedule of hosts at the Legion Jams. These talented hosts open the jam with some great music, and coordinate and encourage the musical performances of others on the stage through midnight.

Bring your guitar and join the fun, or just bring your friends for some great entertainment.

•April 4 — “Jubilee Jam,” with First Friday’s host, Randy Branch.

•April 11 — “Jubilee Jam” with Second Friday’s host, Jimmy Lee Hannaford.

•April 18 — Honky Tonk Country, and some “country-fried” friends.

•April 25 — Roger Fleshman, front man for the Bay Runners.
