GULF SHORES, Ala - Amy Elliott, with the Baldwin Business Support Center and instructor for Faulkner State's Five Star Southern Hospitality Certification program, recently attended training at the Disney Institute in Orlando.

Amy attended the multi-day program on Disney's Approach to Quality Service. Amy learned Disney's principles for providing quality service and had the opportunity to see those principles being applied during "field trips" to the parks.

"Disney Facilitators encouraged us to think about how what we were learning and seeing could be adapted to our own organizations. The attention to details is truly amazing at Disney. The presenters explained how their attention to detail creates a consistent, successful environment for both employees and guests."

For more than 80 years Disney's singular pursuit of excellence in delivering consistent quality service has earned the organization a world-renowned reputation and ongoing business success.

Millions of professionals from around the world have attended the Disney Institute to learn Disney's service culture and processes. There were 63 participants in the program Amy attended, including people from China, Japan, France, England, Switzerland, El Salvador, Brazil and Canada.

During the program, Amy was chosen to assist the facilitators in demonstrating good service and bad service to participants.

"I am proud to say that I am a graduate of the Disney Institute. I look forward to incorporating what I learned into my counseling and training at the Business Support Center and Faulkner State."
