‘An Evening of Broadway’ set

Gulf Shores United Methodist Church is very proud to present the Music Department in concert at 7 p.m. Sunday in the sanctuary with piano, organ and a combo of musicians joining the performance. This is the last concert in the 2006-2007 Concert Series. There is no cost, but donations are accepted and appreciated.

After many long rehearsals, the Chancel Choir and a few surprises have put together this special evening for everyone. The presentation includes music from “Everything’s Coming Up Roses,” “Ragtime,” “Music Man” and “Cats.” If you remember these wonderful stories set to music, you won’t want to miss this special evening.

There will be solos, quartets, as well as the whole choir in concert. Choir Director and Director of the Music Department James Keith Posey has selected music to captivate and bring back some wonderful memories.  He came to the church four years ago, and has provided a wealth of knowledge and talent to the program that existed as well as expanded the programs of the music department.

To spend “An Evening of Broadway” is a wonderful experience. Bring your friends and family and enjoy this free concert.

Also, members of the Gulf Shores United Methodist Church Chancel Choir will present a free concert at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Erie Meyer Civic Center.
