Ann Williams Graham

Ann Williams Graham, 56, of Gulf Shores, died Thursday Feb. 16, 2012, after a long fought battle with liver cancer.  She was a devoted wife, loving mother and a true friend to everyone whose path she crossed.

Ann was born April 28, 1955, in Birmingham. She graduated from John Carroll High School in 1973 and from UAB in 1978. Ann was vice president of Graham Foods/Gail’s Biscuits.

She had been employed with Xerox, The Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, and The Birmingham Magazine.  Ann was most recognized for her marketing and organizational skills.

Her expertise lead to helping with The Birmingham Ski Club, Birmingham Vulcan Run, Share the Beach project, LA Fleet Feet Running Club, Holy Spirit Episcopal Camp Happy Sands, The Mirams, Krewe of Pleasure Isle and Capt’n Fun Runners.

Survivors include her husband, Walt Graham Jr. of Gulf Shores; daughters, Sarah and Elizabeth Graham of Birmingham; father, Hayden “Sonny” Williams (Pat) Pelham; brother George Williams (Donna)  Atlanta, Ga.; brother in-law, Steve Switzer; daughter, Elisa Murphy (Joe) Raleigh, N.C.; son Chris Switzer Pell City; in-laws, Walter Graham Sr. (Ann) St. Simons Island, Ga.; brother in-laws George Graham (LeAnn) Roseburg, Ore.; Russ Graham (Kathy) Vestavia Hills; Troup Graham (Laura) Helena; many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by her mother Zoe Robbins Williams, and sister Cheryl Williams Switzer.

Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 23, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Hoover, from 1 p.m. to2 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m.

Gulf Shores visitation will be Friday, Feb. 24, in Gulf Shores at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m.
