Annette “Tootsie” Ball Eslava, 66, a native of Laurel, Miss., and a resident of Josephine, died Saturday, June 25, 2011 in Foley.
She was a member of Josephine Baptist Church where she was also Director of Children’s Ministries. She was one of the first female conductors for L&N/CSX Railroad. She worked as an interior designer for many years following her employment with the railroad.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne M. Eslava; and a son, Jeffery Glen Beech.
Survivors include three daughters, Tonya Beech of Lucedale, Miss., Kelly Beech of Jacksonville, Fla., and Ashley Reid of Gig Harbor, Wash.; four step-children, Wayne M. Eslava Jr., Garrick E. Eslava, Amber Mathers and Christa Eiland, all of Mobile; and 11 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at noon Sunday, July 3 following the regular church service at Josephine Baptist Church.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Josephine Baptist Church.
