Annie Dyess Stokes, 85, a native and resident of Stapleton, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012.
Mrs. Stokes is preceded in death by her parents, John and Martha Dyess; son, Kenneth Larry Stokes and husband, Hilary K. Stokes. She is survived by one daughter, Donna Stokes (Greg) May of Pearland, Texas; one son, Stan Stokes of Stapleton; and three grandchildren, Matt Stokes, Oliva May and Zach May. Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m. at the Stapleton Baptist Church with the Rev. Allan Lawhorn officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Stapleton.
A visitation was Thursday at the Stapleton Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home, Robertsdale.
