Annie S. Hughes Rider, 72, a native of Baldwin County and resident of Loxley, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011.
Mrs. Rider worked for many years at Vanity Fair. She was a member of the Styx River Baptist Church and active with the youth and choir.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Irvin D. Rider; and son, Jerry Wayne Rider.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Prochazka and Amelia Rios, both of Summerdale; three sons, Jeff Rider, Greg Rider and Chris Rider, all of Loxley; three sisters, Voncile Harris of Loxley, Doris Hastings of Robertsdale, and Jean Walters of Camp Hill, Ala.; one brother, John Harvel Hughes, of Elsanor; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at 10 a.m., at Mack Funeral Home. A visitation will be held Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
