SPANISH FORT, Ala. — The community is invited to the annual Back to Sunday School and Church Fall Rally at Providence United Methodist Church as summer vacations end and fall begins.

The day of worship, study, fellowship and fun will be held Sunday, Sept. 13, at the new church building at 32200 Jimmy Faulkner Drive between Spanish Fort middle and high schools.

Sunday School begins at 9 a.m. and worship is at 10 a.m. Following the service is an old-fashioned picnic lunch with children’s activities including snow cones, face painting, a dunking booth, cake walk and water slide. A nursery is provided.

“Everyone in the community is invited to attend and celebrate with us. It’s also the perfect time to visit a new Sunday School class. The small-group setting of Sunday School allows us to dig deeper into the Bible and its teachings. It helps us to develop real life tools to help us grapple with the issues in our lives and in the world,” said Becky Wolf, chairperson of the Christian education committee.
