Ever heard yourself say, “I’ll never support Barry Bonds in any record he breaks, especially Hank Aarons.”

We’ve all thought it — if not said it.

As sports fans of America’s past-time, there’s a luxury of sitting on couches and criticizing a player for reaching towards something that seems unattainable without help.

Fans yell, ‘Barry Sucks’ and throw syringes on the field before innings.

Deep inside how many, including the commissioner, are wishing that Bonds breaks the record on the road, just to take delight in the ‘Boo’s.’

Before you join the mob for final execution of one of the greatest in baseball history, think about the reasons.

Steroids make you hit farther, swing faster and jump higher, but don’t help your vision.

Bonds can pick up the rotation of a pitch long before any other player in the league.

By long before, I mean .052 seconds or so.

Bonds has a natural ability and fans can see potential for the long ball.

So fans and push, as they always do in sports.

If a player doesn’t exceed the consensus expectations of the fan base consistently, he is considered a bust.

Yet fans push for more, hoping to see that potential pop-off at any moment.

Has the fan base ever stopped and looked at their own hand in the Bonds saga.

Fans put star athlete’s in a catch-22, no win situation more times than not.

There are exceptions, those being the Cal Ripken Jr.’s of the world, but they are few and far between.

Barry Bonds has monumental allegations against him. So much so, it has blurred the line between truth and opinion.

Truth will change if new testimony comes to life. Right now we have speculation that is as useful as the lint in our pocket.

After watching a great dual between Bonds and Dontrelle Willis, I found myself pulling for Bonds.

Once in a while, it’s liberating to pull for the heel. The guy that everyone else is down on or hates.

So as Bonds jacks Aarron from the record books with no. 756 and trod's around the bases with a smirk on his face, just remember you are a part of it. You are part of the driving force — the love and hate — the ebb and flow.
