On behalf of Rosinton School, I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of our 7th annual Armadillo Dash 5K and Fun Run held March 10th. We had a total of 315 runners and several volunteers on Saturday. The event raises money for our Physical Education program and running club.

We especially want to express appreciation to our main sponsor W&W Flooring and Design located in Foley, AL. Hats off, as well, to the many companies and organizations that provided support including Rosinton Fire Department, Styx River Fire Department, D&D Heating and Air, Dr. Keith Cooper, Dr. Brian Pierce, Country Convenience, Celebrations, Agri-AFC, Coca-Cola, Stastka Insurance, Goodrich, Racine’s, Byrd Air, Amanda Hunter (Mary Kay rep.) Piggly Wiggly of Loxley, Campbell’s Hardware, Road ID, Robertsdale Rotary Club, United Bank, Monsanto, Regions Bank, EMC, Shelton Fireworks, Wholesale Optical Supply, American Air, Baldwin Tractor and Equipment, and Allstate-Jacque Mixon.

Congratulations to our top three male 5K finishers Blake Sandaval (20:34), Wyatt Redd (20:39), and Brian McGhee (21:36). An extended congratulation to our top three female 5K finishers Adria Lehmann, Lauren Langham, and Kara Wells. Grant Driver won the 2012 Armadillo Dash Fun Run. Grant finished right in front of Hannah Owens, Joshua Pope, Kelly Adams, and Drew Grant.

Finally, my sincere appreciation goes to the 2012 Armadillo Dash volunteers for their dedication and hard work in making this year’s event our best to date. We look forward to hosting the running community and area families once again at the 8th annual Armadillo Dash and Fun Run on March 2, 2013.
