William David Armstrong, 80, a native of Butler County and a resident of Bay Minette, died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at his residence.
He was a retired machine operator for Southern Aluminum.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise C. Armstrong, his brother, Robert Armstrong; and his sisters, Myrtle White and Lillie Mae Williamson.
Survivors include a son, Keith (Sandra) Armstrong of Bay Minette; daughter, Kristen (Gary) Vinson of Troy; brother, Lamar Armstrong of Gantt; four sisters, Ruth Pate of San Antonio, Texas, Minnie Lenig of Greenville, Dorothy Daughtery and Joyce French, both of Andalusia; seven grandchildren, Crystal Vinson, Lori Vinson, Nicholas Vinson, Nathan Armstrong, Dustin Armstrong, April McDonald and Jason McDonald; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 4 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Minister O.B. Richardson and Elder Tommy Langham officiating. Burial followed at in Bay Minette Cemetery.
