FOLEY, Ala. — Jason D. Cole, 41, of Mobile, was arrested on Monday around 4:30 p.m. by Foley Police after he walked into Wendy’s in Foley armed with a gun and presented a note to the cashier demanding money. A witness saw the suspect leave in a red Nissan Altima and called police.

The suspect was apprehended after turning into the Tanger Outlet and the money and note were recovered and the subject was taken into custody and transported toi the Foley jail when he remains at this time.

According to Robertsdale Police Sgt. Rex Bishop, this is the fourth fast food restaurant the suspect has robbed or attempted to rob in the past few weeks. On Wednesday, June 29 at approximately 5:17 p.m., the suspect walked in to Arby’s in Robertsdale and presented a note demanding money. Arby’s surveillance video captured a photo of the subject wearing a long sleeved shirt and a floppy hat.

The next day, Thursday, June 30, the same white male entered Pizza Hut in Robertsdale at 2:30 p.m. presenting a similar note and this time, he left with an undetermined amount of money. On July 2, the suspect did the same routine at Taco Bell in Foley but did not leave with any money.

“Because of the evidence found in Foley, we were able to connect the suspect to the Robertsdale robbery will be charged with four counts of First Degree Robbery, two from Robertsdfale and two from Foley. I anticipate that sometime today the suspect will be transferred to the Baldwin County Correctional Facility in Bay Minette,” Bishop said.
