Arrests made in robberies

FOLEY, Ala. — Three Foley men have been arrested and charged with first-degree robbery for their alleged connection with the robberies of two Foley businesses last month.

Richardo Eason, 17, of Savannah Park Apartments is charged with two counts of first-degree robbery in connection with the May 9 robbery of New Horizons Credit Union in north Foley and the May 27 robbery of Bebo’s Express in south Foley. Eason is being charged as an adult.

Justin Tymel Foster, 20, of 6th Avenue is charged with one count of first-degree robbery in connection with the Bebo’s incident.

Jarvis Latron McAllister, 22, of Peachtree Avenue is charged with one count of first-degree robbery in connection with the New Horizons Credit Union robbery.

“This case would not have come together so quickly without anonymous tips,” said Lt. David White this week. White is lead investigator at Foley Police Department.

“It’s important citizens help the Police Department when possible. It gets bad guys off the street much quicker,” White said.

According to a FPD press release concerning the arrest of the three suspects, on May 27 a man armed with a handgun and wearing a mask and dark clothing entered Bebo’s and took money from the cash register before leaving the store.

Police received tips from citizens that Eason was involved in the robbery along with a Justin Foster, White said.

“We found a vehicle that was involved in the Bebo’s robbery and brought it to the Police Department and processed it,” White said.

Foster confessed to the Bebo’s robbery at that point, White said. Police then conducted a search of Eason’s apartment and the home of one of his relatives in the Aaronville neighborhood.

A couple of days later Eason was arrested on 6th Avenue and eventually confessed to the robberies at Bebo’s and the Credit Union, White said.

From that point, police searched the residence of Jarvis McAllister and found clothing allegedly used in the New Horizons Credit Union robbery, White said.

During the Credit Union robbery, one of the suspects who entered the business fired a round into the ceiling. The suspects took money from the business and keys to one of the employee’s vehicle. That vehicle was later found abandoned about a block from the Credit Union.

Concerning the Bebo’s robbery, the release notes that police believe Eason was the subject who actually entered Bebo’s and took money. Foster is thought to have been the driver of the getaway vehicle. At this time, Foster is not believed to be involved in the New Horizons Credit Union robbery.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office is reviewing the Credit Union robbery and is considering federal charges against Eason and McAllister, the release said.

First-degree robbery is a Class A felony in Alabama punishable by 10 to 99 years or life.
