STOCKTON — The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating an incident that occurred on a school bus this morning on St. Luke Church Road in Stockton.

Just before 7 a.m. today, 31-year-old Tippi Mims, 18-year-old Fredrick Boykin Jr. and a 14-year-old stormed a school bus while it was on a stop boarding children. Boykin and the juvenile began assaulting the bus driver and holding him down, while Mims attacked a 15-year-old female victim.  No one was seriously injured.

The bus driver and some of the children were able to force the attackers from the bus and call for assistance. Deputies arrived on scene within minutes, but the attackers had fled the scene.

Deputies have arrested the juvenile and taken him to the juvenile detention center in Bay Minette. Additionally, deputies have arrested Fredrick Boykin Jr. and placed him in the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Corrections Center where he will be held without bond. Boykin will face a judicial hearing on Monday.

Boykin and the juvenile face two counts each of third-degree assault.

Mims is being sought on two counts of third-degree assault, one count of obstructing governmental operations and one count of reckless endangerment.
