Mother's Day weekend was a little brighter due to Foley's Art in the Park that featured arts and crafts vendors, live entertainment and food. Awards in several categories were earned by artists. Outstanding artists who received awards during the festival were:

Best Of Show Overall – Troy Criswell, Lillian, Watercolors

First Place, Fine Art – Jimmy Stroud, Gautier, Miss., Photography

First Place, Craft – Darcy Robinson, Foley, Driftwood Art

Second Place, Fine Art – Bobby Goldsmith, Biloxi, Miss., Mixed Media/Pencil

Second Place, Craft – Tom Snyder, Pensacola, Fla., Natural Wood Boxes

Each year, Art in the Park selects a winner of the High School Art Competition sponsored by Hospitality Sponsor Riviera Utilities. Our 2013 blue ribbon went to Daissy Serna, Foley High School.

Judges Joan Blackburn and Teresa helped make Art in the Park the wonderful tradition that it has become year after year for more than 41 years.
