GULF SHORES, AL — Great fall weather is expected Saturday for the Waterway Village Art Market, presented by the Gulf Coast Arts Alliance in partnership with the City of Gulf Shores.

Original art in watercolor, oil, pastel, acrylic and mixed media will be on display by local and regional artists. In addition, visitors will find pottery, jewelry, metal and wood art.

Children can enjoy hands-on art activities including acrylic painting, a graffiti wall and face painting.

Visitors are invited to browse the art, while listening to live musical entertainment by Destiny Brown, Chris Stephens and Brad Pethel. Rio Barlow and her students of the Coastal Ballet Company will present a special program beginning at Noon.

Red beans and rice, grilled hamburgers and hotdogs will be the fare of the day, prepared by local restaurants. It will be a good day to enjoy the arts, listen to great music and enjoy delicious food.

The Art Market is scheduled for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at 225 E. 24th Ave. in the Waterway Village District of Gulf Shores. This event is free to the public.
