New Beginnings Art Show will be held on September 14-16. This will mark the 12th year Angels Garden has organized this show to benefit FavorHouse.
FavorHouse is safe shelter for victims of domestic violence. They offer counseling services, educational groups, referral services, and assist in getting domestic violence injunctions as well as providing a place for victims to reside until they get on their feet.
Artist Mary Easley has designed this year’s themed picture — which will be depicted on both the posters and T-shirts.
Seventy-five artists are anticipated to be featured.
The art show will be in the park at the corner of 12th and Gonzalez streets, across from the old Sacred Heart Hospital.
FavorHouse is the beneficiary of all funds generated from this art show. The shelter was established in 1980, and has been instrumental in helping countless women and children caught in violence within their own home.
